Science, art, and nature come together for an unforgettable morning outdoors.

Adventure at Kaweah Oaks Preserve: Day #1 invites campers to explore the natural world through hands-on science, creative art, and outdoor discovery.

Throughout the morning, campers will rotate through interactive activity stations exploring watersheds and erosion, creating artwork inspired by nature, experimenting with natural dyes, and practicing mindfulness in the outdoors. Each activity is designed to spark curiosity, encourage creativity, and foster a deeper appreciated for the environment.

Whether exploring local ecosystems or expressing creativity through nature-inspired projects, campers will leave with new knowledge, memorable experiences, and a strong connection to the natural world.

Who can attend?

Adventure at Kaweah Oaks Preserve is open to students entering grades 4–8.

Where do I register?

Registration is managed by the City of Visalia Parks & Recreation Department. Please use this registration link to reserve a spot.

What should campers bring?

A reusable water bottle and clothes campers don’t mind getting dirty are recommended. Sun protection, such as a hat or sunscreen, are also always a good idea!

Will activities take place outdoors?

Yes! Campers will spend the morning exploring Kaweah Oaks Preserve. Activities are designed to make the most of the outdoors while allowing for shade, water breaks, and rest as needed.

What are the drop off and pick up times?

Drop off will begin at 8:00 AM with the program beginning at 8:30 PM. Please plan to pick your camper up by 12:30 PM.
