Are you passionate about shaping the future of conservation? Do you feel the urgency of important environmental service and want to get involved? Are you a visionary with a boots-on-the-ground outlook and a philosophy of can-do community service?
Sequoia Riverlands Trust (SRT), in its continuous quest to increase the effectiveness and diversity of its Board of Directors, is seeking to recruit three additional members for approval at its annual meeting in December 2022.
Volunteering on SRT’s Board provides the opportunity to make a difference. Sequoia Riverlands Trust is a Land Trust Alliance-accredited regional nonprofit land trust serving the Southern Sierra Nevada and San Joaquin Valley. Our mission to conserve the lands and waters of California’s heartland is supported by our ambitious programs in conservation easements (habitat and farmland), land stewardship, restoration, conservation outreach, and education.
We're seeking individuals with interest, skills, and experience in finance; fundraising; networking and community building; conservation; agriculture; water; woodland management; real estate; and nonprofit governance.
SRT Board service offers the opportunity to enhance your skills while supporting a vital region of California, as well as grow your professional network while gaining exposure and insight with issues facing conservation in this region.
Board members can be located anywhere in the United States but are required to attend quarterly meetings. Virtual attendance is acceptable.
