Field Trips

School Bus at Kaweah Oaks Preserve

Our field trips are designed to bring each student back to the natural world while participating in hands-on learning with activities that complement what they are learning in the classroom. Our field trip curriculum follows the Next Generation Science Standards and California's Common Core standards in Math, Science, Writing, and History/Social Studies for all grades, Kindergarten - 12th. Common topics that we touch on include native plant and animal ID, natural history, Native people and cultures, life cycles and adaptations, water quality and conservation, land management, and other environmental issues and  topics.

We currently offer field trips to Kaweah Oaks Preserve, Dry Creek Preserve, and Blue Oak Ranch Preserve. Special trips to other preserves can be discussed on an individual basis.

Costs for field trips will be calculated on an individual basis, based on location, number of students attending, and number of staff required. Please feel free to reach out to us with any questions about costs.
