Spring Has Sprung
—Ashley Robinson, Nursery Manager
Spring has sprung at Dry Creek Nursery! The hills surrounding the nursery have turned green, and the flowers have all started to bloom. The plants in the nursery have swelling buds and flowers will be blooming soon!
The Dry Creek Nursery team has been busy planting seeds, cuttings, and transplanting new plants to add to the inventory. As always, we grow plants for both our restoration projects on the preserves and more ornamental natives for home gardens. The most recent restoration project took place at Kaweah Oaks Preserve—Valley Oaks and Sycamores were planted as part of a mitigation project. The next step is to add pollinator plants to that space.
Saturday Plant Sales and Artist Markets have been bustling with people excited to add native plants to their gardens and to support our local artist community. The next Plant Sale and Artist Market will be on Saturday, May 10, from 10:00 AM–2:00 PM. There is such a fun community of people who are showing up to these events and would love to see even more come out to enjoy the day with everyone.
Dry Creek Nursery is open every Monday & Friday from 9:00 AM–2:00 PM. Stay tuned and make sure to follow our socials because business days and hours will be extended soon. See you at the nursery!
