Professional Photography Permits

SRT’s preserves make for lovely photos. Whether you are an amateur shutterbug or a seasoned professional, you will find it hard to resist the allure of colorful spring greens, majestic oak trees beneath views of the High Sierra, stark foggy winter atmospheres, and cattle roaming in a bucolic setting.

Amateurs with a camera or smartphone can shoot at our open preserves without a permit, although should it disturb others we do request you contact us first. This will ensure the best possible results for both you and our other visitors.

But SRT does require that professional photographers purchase an annual permit and schedule any shoots with SRT so that we may coordinate with other land users. Yearly permits are $200 and may be purchased here on the website: Click here.

The SRT preserve in your shot must be identified in any advertising or communications materials, including print, websites, and other electronic distribution channels. Commercial video shoots are subject to different guidelines. Contact SRT’s Communication Director Aaron Collins for more information on film and video location day shoot rates.

You never know what you might see at our preserves – bobcats, lizards, birds of all shapes and sizes, coyotes, squirrels, rabbits, and other species. Keep those cameras handy!
