The Creek Fire has burned about 400 acres near Woodlake this weekend, and is close enough to Dry Creek Preserve that we are closing the preserve for Sunday, Sept. 1, and likely Monday, Sept. 2. Heavy smoke is in the area, and Dry Creek Drive may be closed. The fire is to the west of Dry Creek and Homer Ranch, however, so the preserves are safe now.
SRT closes Homer Ranch every summer due to fire danger, which this blaze illustrates is quite real.
