SRT receives $20k grant for policy and education work
(VISALIA, CA) - SRT has received a renewed $20,000 grant from the San Joaquin Valley Health Fund (SJVHF), it recently announced. The grant will support systems change work in land use policy and help us empower youth, families and schools to expand access to outdoor education.
"We are tremendously grateful for the SJVHF's ongoing partnership, and are already putting the new grant to work," said Adam Livingston, SRT Director of Planning and Policy. "This funding helps SRT to provide a voice for conservation and compact growth in contexts ranging from county-level general plans to regional transportation planning. Just as importantly, this grant contributes to our efforts to give educators, families and underserved youth the tools they need to expand access to outdoor education. We're tremendously grateful for the SJVHF's ongoing support," Livingston added.
The SJVHF is managed by The Center at Sierra Health Foundation with funding from a broad coalition including Sierra Health Foundation, The California Endowment, The California Wellness Foundation, Rosenberg Foundation, W.K.
