Year-end giving means season of new beginnings

December 08, 2021 by Aaron

This holiday season, the sycamores and cottonwoods are taking on their late fall colors at our preserves, the winter bird population is settling in, and the smoke from wildfires in the Sierra has abated for now, thankfully. At the same time, our region continues to reel from the ongoing drought. Farmers and ranchers are eyeing water allocations and wondering how they will be able to make it through to harvest. And the citizens of California's heartland are wondering what they can do.

The good news: you can help!

By sending in a gift you will help SRT as we protect a large network of connected, high-quality conservation lands – ranches, farms, scenic vistas, cultural sites, wildlife habitat and waterways – in the Kings, Kaweah, Tule, and Kern River watersheds.

Your gift will conserve land in our region and support all of Sequoia Riverlands Trust's work, including maintenance of our public preserves, monitoring of conservation easements, and our education and outreach programs.

And your gift will help realize the important mission of Central California's premiere land protection organization dedicated to inspiring love and lasting protection for important lands.

If the Holidays create both distraction and pause in routine for you as they do for so many, might you consider contributing now, before the season's activities divert your time and attention? We would be grateful for your support and hope you will take a moment to donate either by sending a check to SRT, 427 S. Garden St., Visalia CA 93277, or visit our website at www.sequoiariverlands.org and following the prompts to donate.

We look forward to your continued support of our efforts in 2022 and thank you for your ongoing goodwill for the work and organization of SRT! Happy Holidays and a Prosperous New Year to all!
