EARTH Academy Summer Program 2019

SCHEDULE

Module 1 - June 12 or July 10 – 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM

Module 2 – June 19 or July 17 - 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM

Module 3 – June 26 or July 24 - 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM

CURRICULUM

Each module of the program will be divided into three parts:

1.  A hands-on service-learning portion, where participants will help with stewardship and conservation work on SRT Preserve

2.  A section on soil health, which includes hands-on learning activities

3.  A section on citizen science, which will include an introduction to current research projects and  practice using the tools and resources provided by these projects

Module 2:  Grazing and Fires

Great Sunflower Project

& other citizen science projects

Dates: June 19 or July 17

Module 3: Soil Carbon Challenge; BioBlitz & iNaturalist

Dates: June 26 or July 24

Don’t Forget!

Please remember to bring closed toed shoes, a hat and a water bottle! Also, we will have periodic breaks, so feel free to bring a snack and lunch!
