Homer and Dry Creek revert to summer hours

On June 1, Homer Ranch and Dry Creek preserves will switch to summer open hours. During the warm months, fire danger is higher so we must limit the time people spend at the preserves to keep the risk low.

Homer is closed to the public until approximately November. Dry Creek will be open only on weekends during this period.

We appreciate the public understanding why we do these closures. Even after a wet winter like we've just had, fire is a serious danger. Grasses at both sites are taller than usual now and could be great fuel for fire.
