Local Land Trust to welcome pets on Preserve
Preserve walking with your pet
Sequoia Riverlands Trust allows dog owners a chance to walk on three of it's beautiful preserves with their furry friend.
In 2012, SRT decided to allow pets on the preserves on leash in a trial program.
Kaweah Oaks Preserve, Dry Creek Preserve, and Homer Ranch are all located close to Visalia and are owned and managed by Sequoia Riverlands Trust.
A leash rule is enforced to protect native species from being trampled and ensure that all visitors have a safe and enjoyable experience. SRT's primary purpose is to protect the plants and animals on the preserves. To do that, we have to respect them first and foremost. Pet owners who keep their dogs leashed are helping SRT accomplish that mission while enjoying an ourdoor walk.
When visiting preserves with Your Dog
Dogs are permitted on trails only when restrained by a leash.
Leashes must not exceed six feet in length.
