Protect the open land.\n\n\n\nThere are places in California where the sky feels bigger\, the wind feels cleaner\, and the road stretches out like possibility. The Carrizo Plain is one of them. \n\n\n\nThe Carrizo Ride is more than a cycling event—it’s an invitation to experience one of the most breathtaking landscapes in the state while supporting the protection of the lands and waters that define California’s heartland. \n\n\n\nOn Saturday\, March 21\, riders will gather for a day of movement\, connection\, and purpose. Two gravel only route options offer something for both seasoned cyclists and those looking for a meaningful\, scenic challenge. Every mile supports land conservation in the Tulare Basin and beyond. \n\n\n\n\nEvent Date: Saturday\, March 21\, 2026\n\n\n\nCheck In Opens: 7:00 AM | Ride Begins: 8:00 AM\n\n\n\nStarting Point: Diefenderfer Ranch (Exact coordinates/address will be provided after tickets have been purchased)\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWhy Ride?\n\n\n\nBecause open space matters.Because farmland and wildlife habitat deserve protection.Because being on a bike in wide-open country reminds us what we’re working to preserve. \n\n\n\nThis ride raises awareness and support for land conservation efforts that protect working lands\, water resources\, and wildlife corridors\, ensuring future generations can experience places like this the way we do today. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWhat You’ll Experience\n\n\n\n\nExpansive views across the Carrizo Plain\n\n\n\nSupport stations with water\, drink mix & snacks\n\n\n\n95% gravel road terrain — gravel bikes recommended / road bikes not advised\n\n\n\nA supportive and welcoming cycling community\n\n\n\nThe satisfaction of riding for a cause that matters\n\n\n\nThe feeling of contributing to something bigger than yourself\n\n\n\nPost-ride lunch provided by Sequoia Riverlands Trust\n\n\n\n\nWhether you’re chasing distance\, soaking in the scenery\, or riding alongside friends\, this day is about aligning passion with purpose. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nOPTIONAL: Pre-Ride Skills Clinic led by Bella Slosberg\n\n\n\n7:00–7:45 AM | Registered Carrizo Riders Only \n\n\n\nWant to get a little more out of your time in the Carrizo?
