DESCRIPTION:Saturday\, July 18 | 8:00–11:00 AM\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nHarvest berries\, take home half your bounty\, and help create a special collaboration brew with 1852 Brew Co.  \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nThis community harvest helps provide elderberries for Sequoia Riverlands Trust’s fundraising efforts\, including a special collaboration brew with 1852 Brew Co. At the end of the event\, we’ll split each participant’s harvest 50/50. You’ll take home half and we’ll use the other half to support our mission. \n\n\n\nNo experience is necessary. Staff will provide guidance and harvesting supplies. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWhat to Expect\n\n\n\n\nHarvesting elderberries alongside SRT staff and volunteers\n\n\n\nLight outdoor activity\, including walking on uneven terrain\, standing\, and reaching for berries\n\n\n\nLearning about elderberry plants and their important to local ecosystems\n\n\n\nOpportunities to connect others who enjoy conservation and stewardship\n\n\n\n\nAt the end of the event\, we’ll weigh each participant’s harvest and split it evenly. You’ll take home half of the elderberries you harvest\, and the other half will support Sequoia Riverlands Trust’s fundraising efforts. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWhy It Matters\n\n\n\nThe elderberries collected during this harvest will help support upcoming fundraising events that benefit SRT’s conservation\, education\, and stewardship programs. Staff will provide instructions and guidance at the beginning of the event. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nIs there a registration fee?\nNo. This event is free to attend\, though donations are appreciated. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWhat should I wear and bring?\nPlease bring water\, closed-toe shoes and comfortable clothing that can get a little dirty. We also recommend sunscreen and a hat. All necessary work supplies will be provided. You are welcome to bring your own work gloves\, but you are not required. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nCan children attend?\nYes! Participants of all ages are welcome. Children must be accompanied by an adult. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWill I get to take elderberries home?\nYes! Participants are welcome to harvest as many elderberries as they’d like. At the end of the event\, we’ll split each person’s harvest 50/50.
